Who Were My Ancestors?

Opening Doors to the Past

What Does it Cost?

Our initial consultation is free and unlike other research organizations we don't ask for any money in advance. We want to be sure we can provide you with your ancestry back to the early 1800's before we agree on the cost of our research.

Initially, you decide if you want a single surname research i.e. your father, grandfather, great grandfather, etc. or if you want an expanded search to include your maternal ancestors. Once we conclude we can provide the information you desire, you decide how you want us to proceed. The following are only potential fees, every project is different - we will determine the fee based on our initial talks.

Our hourly* rate is: $30.00
Single surname search: $250.00
Second surname search: $425.00
Full pedigree search: $600.00
Personal Web Tree Creation** $45.00
Monthly Hosting of the Web Tree - minimum 3 months $15.00

Costs for certified copies of birth, marriage or death certificates from England are not included in the above rates and would only be acquired after approval from you, our client. The cost in GB pounds is fixed by the General Register Office in the UK at GBP 7.00, (July 2009 - approximately $12.00). Scottish records are a little more expensive at GBP 10.

Costs for certificates from the United States would vary between states and again only after receiving approval from you.

What do you do? Just use the contact page, fill in as much as you can about your parents, grand parents and if possible great grand parents and send it to us. That is all we ask for - no money, until we know we can trace your family history further back - and then we'll get back to you. Then you decide if you want to take it any further.

* This is the hourly rate from this site, the rate from the Expert Site of Ancestry is $40 per hour, Ancestry do take a commission.
** This cost is based on us performing the initial research, contact us for other options.
